By Plane
There is an airport outside Trat so you could fly there from Bangkok, Koh Samui, Phuket or try any other domestic airport in Thailand. The flight from Bangkok takes just 40 minutes. The airfare varies from 1,400 baht up to 2,500 baht per person. From the airport near Trat you can take road transport to the ferry piers at Laem Ngop. It takes around 15 minutes. From any one of the piers it takes 25 to 35 minutes for the ferry to reach Kho Chang.
By Bus
From Bangkok you can go to the Ekamai bus terminal on Sukhumvit Road and get on the bus going to Laem Ngop.
From Suvarnabhumi Airport you can take a direct bus which will take you all the way to Klong Son on Koh Chang. Departure time is 7.30 a.m. and the ticket will cost you 308 baht iincluding the ferry ride.
